Paper Denim Cloth Bridgette

I love the name Paper Denim Cloth and the finish and stitching on the Bridgette had me really excited! Were these THE ONES?? The pockets are clean the denim is unique. Totally minimal. The 27s fit me tight. The waist was a little on the small size. Here’s the thing – they made me look OUTRAGEOUSLY curvy and not in a good way. My hips looked so wide and my bottom looked so round. I just couldn’t do it. I sat in them for a while and tried and tried to like them but as it turns out they’re just not for me.

Size 27 measurements:

• Waist – 32.5″
• Inseam – 33.5″
• Front Rise -8″ (along the zipper opening from the top of the waistband to the inseam)
• Back Rise – 12″ (along the back seam from the top of the waistband to the inseam)
• Hips – 38″ (at the base of the zipper and pockets)
• Knee Break – 21″ (from top of waist band)
• Leg Opening -19″ (at the hem)

Analysis:

Waist – Tight! I can get into them, but they are really meant for someone with a smaller waist. The waist is low – but not so low that I feel like I’m going to end up being “that girl”.

Bottom Shape – Made me look wide and flat

Thigh Fit – Quite a bit extra on the back side.

Knee Break – Good length for me. When I measured it, I couldn’t decide if it was 20 or 21. Definitely works for shorter legs.

Length – Not as long as the longest I’ve tried but still to long for me. However, in my heels, I think I’d only have to shorten these an inch or so.

Wash – Looks like minimally washed but worn denim. Clean and minimal.

Versatility – I think you could dress these up or down. They are on the conservative side. Cuffing is possible, but it might look a little odd with the wide leg.
